Man must carry out unpaid work
A man has been ordered to carry out unpaid work for assault and resisting arrest.
John Dillon, 30, of Godfrey Walk, Ashford, was sentenced at Canterbury Magistrates’ Court on June 26 after admitting assault, possessing drugs and resisting a police officer.
Dillon assaulted a man, resisted arrest and was found with one gram of cannabis in his possession in Ashford high street on May 26.
He was ordered to carry out 180 hours of unpaid work and pay £50 in compensation and £85 in court costs.
The cannabis was destroyed.
