Men hurt in falls taken to hos­pi­tal

Two ca­su­al­ties were taken to the Wil­liam Harvey Hos­pi­tal yes­ter­day (Wed­nes­day) morn­ing af­ter two sep­a­rate in­ci­dents in Ash­ford.

At 8.20am, two am­bu­lances, one para­medic car and the Kent, Sur­rey and Sus­sex Air Am­bu­lance were all called to Whit­field Road, South Ash­ford, to a re­port that a man in his 20s had suf­fered a fit on the pave­ment. He had col­lapsed and suf­fered a head in­jury dur­ing the fall.

He was taken by road am­bu­lance, as­sisted by crews from the air am­bu­lance, to the hos­pi­tal.

In a sep­a­rate in­ci­dent, one am­bu­lance was called to Faver­sham Road, Ken­ning­ton, at around 9.30am to a re­port that a man in his 30s had come off his bike near the junc­tion of Ge­orge Wil­liams Way.

He was treated for a po­ten­tial col­lar bone, back and arm in­jury and taken to hos­pi­tal.
