Mo­tor­way delays af­ter bike crash

Com­muters faced long delays on the M20 af­ter a motorcyclist was in­volved in a crash with two cars yes­ter­day (Wed­nes­day) at around 7.15am.

The biker was taken to King’s Col­lege Hos­pi­tal, Lon­don, af­ter the smash on the Lon­don­bound car­riage­way be­tween junc­tions 9 for Ash­ford and 8 for Leeds Cas­tle.

Heavy con­ges­tion built quickly in both di­rec­tions.

A 53-year-old man, on a Honda mo­tor­bike, is be­lieved to have suf­fered a bro­ken leg in a col­li­sion with a BMW and a Peu­geot 206.

Kent High­ways said a rolling road block was put in place and it was tak­ing mo­torists around 35 min­utes to drive the stretch.

Lanes on both sides of the mo­tor­way were shut. It was fully open by around 8.45am.
