Motorway delays after bike crash
Commuters faced long delays on the M20 after a motorcyclist was involved in a crash with two cars yesterday (Wednesday) at around 7.15am.
The biker was taken to King’s College Hospital, London, after the smash on the Londonbound carriageway between junctions 9 for Ashford and 8 for Leeds Castle.
Heavy congestion built quickly in both directions.
A 53-year-old man, on a Honda motorbike, is believed to have suffered a broken leg in a collision with a BMW and a Peugeot 206.
Kent Highways said a rolling road block was put in place and it was taking motorists around 35 minutes to drive the stretch.
Lanes on both sides of the motorway were shut. It was fully open by around 8.45am.
