Cuppas help top up pot with vital funds
Sufferers from Parkinson’s Disease and their families have been helped by the proceeds of a charity tea.
Members of the Ashford branch of Parkinson’s UK held the event at London Beach Hotel, Tenterden. Sixty-four people attended.
Under a scheme run by the venue, the cost of the food is donated back to the charity.
From the tea, organised by Keith and Barbara Punt and Christine Endersby, London Beach has donated £487.50.
In May and June, the hotel helped 22 charities by donating a total of £22,354, including £5,676 to Tenterden Day Centre for its golf day and lunch.
Events have included Sunday lunches, dinner dances, afternoon teas, cream teas and golf days.
