Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Helping Others -

The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) is looking to set up a Volunteer Fundraising Group Ashford to support the work of the charity. There are more than 7,000 people who are registered blind and partially sighted within Kent.

The group’s aim will be to go out into the community to raise funds for the charity and help raise awareness about RNIB.

The group will have lots of different volunteering opportunities, from group leader to event organiser or just for people who can only help out now and then. There will also support from RNIB to maximise fundraising.

A preliminary meeting about setting up the group will be held at 11am on Monday (July 15) in the Food with Friends cafe at Ashford Gateway Plus, Church Road, Ashford.
