Golf day aids drive for cash

The Ro­tary Club of Ash­ford’s an­nual golf day was highly suc­cess­ful.

The event raised more than £1,000 for their pres­i­dent’s char­i­ties, Pro­gres­sive Supranu­clear Palsey As­so­ci­a­tion (PSPA), Pan­cre­atic Can­cer UK, Kent MS Cen­tre Ap­peal and Sand Dams.

Forty golfers took part in the event held on the nine hole course at East­well Manor.

Mem­ber Frank Brake won the in­di­vid­ual prize and part­ners and friends joined the golfers for din­ner af­ter­wards.

Pres­i­dent Mary McKe­own thanked mem­ber Colin Sykes for or­gan­is­ing the event, and gave a spe­cial thank you to Tur­loo Par­rett, the owner of East­well Manor at Boughton Aluph, who do­nated the golf club fees to the club, all the staff at East­well Manor for their sup­port and ro­tary mem­bers, their part­ners and friends who con­trib­uted so gen­er­ously.
