Golf day aids drive for cash
The Rotary Club of Ashford’s annual golf day was highly successful.
The event raised more than £1,000 for their president’s charities, Progressive Supranuclear Palsey Association (PSPA), Pancreatic Cancer UK, Kent MS Centre Appeal and Sand Dams.
Forty golfers took part in the event held on the nine hole course at Eastwell Manor.
Member Frank Brake won the individual prize and partners and friends joined the golfers for dinner afterwards.
President Mary McKeown thanked member Colin Sykes for organising the event, and gave a special thank you to Turloo Parrett, the owner of Eastwell Manor at Boughton Aluph, who donated the golf club fees to the club, all the staff at Eastwell Manor for their support and rotary members, their partners and friends who contributed so generously.
