Classic bikes shine in summer sun
Hordes of bikers headed to Hamstreet for the Romney Marsh Classic Motorcycle Show and Bikejumble.
Visitors admired a wide range of classic bikes in the sunshine and sampled local ales from the beer tent off Marsh Road on Sunday.
They enjoyed a hog roast, live music from Tim Phillips and 1066 Rockitmen, and matches of motoball – five-a-side motorcycle football.
Motorcyclists carrying out repairs or restoration projects could also pick up parts and accessories from a range of stalls. Organiser Julie Diplock, from ELK Promotions, said: “It was excellent. We were really busy and the weather helped. It was almost too hot but I can’t complain.”
She added: “There was a big crowd there. The traffic was horrendous because I think Camber Sands was full. There was traffic stretching from Brookland to Rye.”
