Again, “mop up” crews were sent out on Saturday (July 13) to pick up the refuse from across the borough that was missed during the week.
Now, Ashford Borough Council has apologised to residents for the delays and thanked them for their patience.
A spokesman said: “Ashford Borough Council is aware that some streets did not have their recycling collected on Monday, and crews will return to these areas.
“Crews have also returned to properties that reported missed refuse collections last week.
“This is only the first week of the new recycling collections, and residents’ response has been fantastic.
“We thank everyone for embracing the new system so enthusiastically.
“While we expected there to be large amounts of recycling in this first week, it has taken more time to complete the rounds than anticipated.
“We are sorry for any delays and inconvenience caused.
“Crews will be working until 8pm each evening, and we thank you for your patience.”
