Forum is here to help make changes

Bryan Trelfer expresses frustration at not being able to bring about changes to improve Ashford’s environment, in this case the Queen Mother’s Park (July 11).

It is not clear from Mr Trelfer’s letter which forum he is referring to, but the Central Ashford Community Forum exists exactly to put forward such widely shared concerns to Ashford Borough Council, as individuals are unlikely on their own to effect change.

The Forum welcomes anyone with ideas on how to bring improvements to our part of Ashford. It is comprised of a number of trustees, who are elected by local residents at open meetings.

The Forum consults with the Ashford Borough Council about funding for improvements and has also organised volunteers to bring improvements to the QMP.

We can be contacted by website, letter, email, phone or Facebook. Jim Davies, chair Central Ashford Community Forum
