People enjoyed a free charity breakfast at Frankie & Benny’s before making a donation to the restaurant chain’s national charity for the year.

The eatery at Eureka Leisure Park offered free meals, along with tea and coffee, for a charitable donation on Friday morning.

The restaurant made £170, while other Kent restaurants managed a further £527, to go to national skin charity DEBRA, which supports people with epidermolysis bullosa, a genetic skin blistering condition.

Frankie & Benny’s spokesman Bethan Peel said: “There was no minimum donation, so people could just give as much or as little as they wanted and it has done really well.”
