The proceeds from a family fun day held earlier this year at Ashford’s Julie Rose Stadium have been handed over to a charity fund.

Ashford Leisure Trust held the successful community day at the athletics stadium on Saturday, May 11, which saw more than 100 families take part, helping to raise £355 for the three nominated charities of the then Mayor of Ashford, Cllr Bob Davidson – Homestart, Headway and Ashford Arthritis Care.

And last week the cheque was presented to Cllr Davidson at Ashford’s Stour Centre by Ashford Leisure Trust chairman Mick Hubert. From left, Ray Mifsud, Caroline Kiernan, Caroline Sodner, Claire Fox, Sue Fox and Chris Mifsud at the Abbie’s Army fundraiser at Ashford Golf Club
