Road ban for drink-driver
A man has been banned from driving for two years after being caught three times over the drink-drive limit.
Ryan Strand, 23, of Springwood Drive, Ashford, was stopped driving a Renault Clio on Canterbury Road, Lyminge, on June 10.
When breathalysed, he gave a reading of 102 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35. He admitted drink-driving when he appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on July 18.
Strand was banned from driving for 24 months. He must carry out 80 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months, and must pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
