Pro­ject brings health progress

A health and well­be­ing pro­ject has been help­ing res­i­dents of an ac­com­mo­da­tion pro­ject for older peo­ple.

Res­i­dents of the Fam­ily Mo­saic group have been tak­ing part in the eight-week HAPi pro­ject.

As part of the course, they have been try­ing out a new ac­tiv­ity each week, in­clud­ing in­door mat bowls, Zumba, gen­tle cir­cuits, tai-chi and chair aer­o­bics.

Ash­ford Leisure Trust man­ager Peter Le Ros­sig­nol said: “The HAPi pro­ject has been a great suc­cess. It is good to see how the par­tic­i­pants have pro­gressed over the course of eight weeks. As a trust we are hop­ing to de­velop more of th­ese projects to help the lo­cal com­mu­nity get more ac­tive and live a health­ier life­style.”
