Bitten by the camping bug
A weekend of camping has raised more than £450 to pay for the refurbishment of a play area for youngsters.
Sixteen families from Charing Primary School enjoyed the great outdoors, taking part in a treasure hunt, team games, tennis, a water fight, campfire, and barbecue.
There was a short family service, led by the Rev Richard Webb.
Part of the money raised will be spent on decoration in the reception class’s outdoor learning area, with colourful murals planned.
Jo Astbury, PTFA secretary, said: “Many parents have been bitten by the camping bug as a direct result of this event.”
