Cricket club runs off with hon­ours again

The an­nual cricket match be­tween St Mary’s Church, Willes­bor­ough, and Willes­bor­ough Cricket Club re­sulted in yet an­other vic­tory for the cricket club.

For the third year run­ning Willes­bor­ough CC took the hon­ours in the an­nual friendly match – but only by a 20 run win­ning mar­gin.

The game was played last Fri­day evening.

At the end of play Ash­ford mayor, David Smith pre­sented the win­ners’ tro­phy to the Club team cap­tain Bob Ades.

The pre­sen­ta­tion was fol­lowed by a free bar­be­cue for play­ers and sup­port­ers and danc­ing to the sound of Java­caine .
