Friendly marks start of new Green era

Brom­ley Green em­bark on a new chap­ter in the club’s his­tory when they stage their first game at Home­lands on Satur­day. The haart of Kent County League, Pre­mier Di­vi­sion side face Ry­man League Di­vi­sion 1 South Herne Bay in a pre-sea­son friendly. Kick off is at 3pm – ad­mis­sion is £3, free for un­der 16s. Mean­while, Green pa­tron Dave Home­wood is as­sem­bling a Vet­er­ans’ team to face Ash­ford United Vets in a match in aid of the Barry Cunningham Me­mo­rial Fund at Home­lands on Sun­day week, Au­gust 4. Among fa­mil­iar faces ex­pected to take part are Carl­ton Wyn­ter, Jeff Ross, Terry Perk, Steve Wil­son and keeper Lee Wil­liams. Ad­mis­sion will be £5.
