In­quest into death of teen killed in crash

An in­quest has been opened into the death of an Ash­ford teenager killed in a car crash in Suf­folk.

A post-mortem showed 18-yearold builder John Cash, known as Jonny, died from head in­juries, the in­quest at Bury St Ed­munds heard on Fri­day.

Mr Cash’s best friend Chris- to­pher Do­ran, 19, of Bamp­ton, Ox­ford­shire, also died in the crash af­ter suf­fer­ing chest in­juries.

The pair died on the evening of Novem­ber 23 when the Citroen Ber­lingo they were trav­el­ling in with four other peo­ple crashed into the wall of the White Hart Inn on the A12 in the vil­lage of Blyth­burgh.

A 17-year-old boy from Wok­ing­ham has been ar­rested on sus­pi­cion of caus­ing death by dan­ger­ous driv­ing.

The in­quest was ad­journed while a po­lice in­ves­ti­ga­tion con­tin­ues.
