A sponsored bike ride has raised more than £1,500 for charity.

Bannatyne’s in Ashford teamed up with charity Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) to raise funds with a sponsored spinathon.

LGFB is a confidence-boosting skin care and makeup workshop for women who are going through cancer treatment.

Members and staff from the health club, in Eureka Leisure Park in Ashford, held a six-hour ride, taking turns to use the exercise bikes throughout the day.

Everybody involved dressed up in themed hats and music was played to keep energy levels high.

Club manager Shaun Suggett said: “The event was a great success and everybody involved really enjoyed raising money for such a worthwhile charity.”
