Dazzling display a worthy winner
The winner of the Kentish Express Christmas Lights Competition has been chosen.
Great- grandfather Peter Reeves’ impressive display in Wotton Road wowed the judges.
Retired Mr Reeves, 68, says it takes ‘quite a lot of lights’ to achieve the look, which includes shooting stars, reindeer, an arch and several Father Christmases.
He said: “I’ve been putting the lights up for the last 10 years. A lot of people leaving work say how good they are. Plus the grandchildren like them.
“I’m old- fashioned, so we always put them up 12 days before Christmas, and take them down 12 days after.”
The runner-up spot goes to Adam Smith, of Musgrove, whose front lawn was covered in illuminated figures.
Big thanks to every single one of you who entered.
