Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Family Announcements -

Diners and volunteers alike enjoyed a free three- course dinner held in Ashford by the Salvation Army on Christmas Day.

About 100 guests and 30 volunteers attended the lunch, which was held at the East Stour Primary School in Earlsworth Road.

The event was organised by husband and wife Tim and Chris Swansbury, who have run the Salvation Army’s Ashford branch for the past two years.

Volunteer Devsiri Hewavidana, helped out with his two sons, Dinum, 10 and Deshan, 18

He said: “It was well attended and superbly organised. The guests had a great time.”
