Win a holiday in raffle fundraiser

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Emergency Gridlock -

Villagers hope a raffle with more than £2,000 worth of prizes will help towards work on their hall annexe.

The Woodchurch Players and the Woodchurch Tennis Club have joined forces to run the raffle, with the top prizes including a holiday, designer jewellery and vouchers.

Tickets are available from the Woodchurch Community Information Centre, the Six Bells pub and the Model Shop.

The draw will be in the Memorial Hall at 11am on Monday, March 31.

Both organisations use one of the annexes at the Memorial Hall. But the building is in desperate need of replacement.

Planning permission has been given for a new annexe and already £55,000 has been raised towards the £93,000 cost.

Organisers hope the raffle will help reduce the £38,000 shortfall in funding and they are aiming to sell 1,000 tickets at £5 each.
