No hope...if it can’t even fix the park­ing

With re­gard to the park­ing is­sue at Ash­ford De­liv­ery Of­fice in Tan­nery Lane (KE, Dec 26), which came first, the of­fice, or the dou­ble yel­low lines?

At times it al­most seems as though peo­ple are be­ing in­vited to break the law.

It seems as though the coun­cil will pass plan­ning ap­pli­ca­tions de­spite gen­uine con­cerns on park­ing and road safety.

A case in point is the fish and chip shop at Cradle­bridge Drive, Willes­bor­ough.

The dou­ble yel­low lines were al­ready there, with signs say­ing ‘No Park­ing’ at any time.

Yet the coun­cil passed the plan­ning ap­pli­ca­tion, which has re­sulted in mo­torists park­ing il­le­gally, in­clud­ing on the pave­ment, up to and on the T junc­tion, plus on the drop kerbs, in some cases for up to 15-20 min­utes.
