All awash following lashing wind and rain
firstname.lastname@example.org Persistent bad weather across the county created more flooding in Ashford over the weekend.
Paths, fields and car parks across the borough resembled outdoor swimming pools after the strong wind and rain hit again last Friday.
Fields in Kingsnorth and along Kennington Road were badly affected, and parts of the Stour Centre and the Gallagher Retail Park’s car parks were cordoned off due to bad flooding.
Pitches at Ashford Rugby Club were also under water and the pond at Little Burton resembled more of a lake with water lapping over the public footpath.
On the coast, Folkestone was battered by ferocious winds, with waves crashing onto the promenade at Sunny Sands beach.
