Slim­mers trans­form empty shop win­dow

An empty shop unit in Ash­ford is now full – thanks to a band of slim­ming group or­gan­is­ers.

The team of Ash­ford Slim­ming World con­sul­tants have bright­ened up the shop win­dow of the va­cant premises in Bank Street to pro­mote their groups.

Spokes­woman Julie Noo­nan said: “We have kindly been given the use of the empty shop next to the Ash­ford Chris­tian Fel­low­ship Church, which has sat empty for a while.

“We have dec­o­rated the win­dows with lots of in­for­ma­tion about all the groups that are avail­able and some suc­cess sto­ries and hope it bright­ens up the street.

“Last week the groups wel­comed 253 new mem­bers, who came along to achieve their dream of los­ing weight with­out ever go­ing hun­gry.”

Rep­re­sen­ta­tives of Ash­ford Slim­ming World groups will be at the premises this Satur­day morn­ing be­tween 11am-1pm. of­fer­ing ad­vice on classes.
