Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Days To Remember -

Children, parents and grandparents enjoyed a creative afternoon on Saturday when they came together for Messy Church.

More than 80 people attended the arty workshop at the Willesborough Baptist Church, in Hythe Road, which this month looked into the bible story of Samson.

The session included arts and craft, a jacket potato dinner and celebration time, led by puppeteer Roger Whiteley.

Children and families coordinator Jan Haywood said: “Messy Church has been going on for two years and we’re seeing families that wouldn’t normally spend time together really gel during the sessions.

“For us, it is important that families have a place where they can come together. We try and make the sessions as fun as we can.”

Messy Church is held on the second Saturday of every month, with the next session planned for February 8.
