Volcano work fires young imaginations

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Days To Remember -

Pre-school children from Ashford had a blast last week when they designed and built their very own volcano.

Staff and children from Bumble Bees Nursery, part of Just Learning, on the Eureka Leisure Park, collected the materials to design the explosive masterpiece.

The arts and crafts session was part of the nursery’s enrolment week, which saw the children take part in different activities every day.

Assistant manager Fiona Walker said: “The children all really enjoyed it. They dressed up in white lab coats and acted like real scientists. They put bicarbonate of soda and vinegar in the volcano and watched it erupt.”
