David Flight con­tacted the Ken­tish Ex­press af­ter be­ing stuck in traf­fic caused by the clo­sure.

He said: “I am an­noyed yet again about a prob­lem in Chart Road caus­ing traf­fic chaos. “We were stuck on the cow round­about for ap­prox­i­mately 30 min­utes due to grid­lock.

“When this hap­pens could the lights on the round­about not be cov­ered up to make things run smoothly as Junc­tion 10 once did or open up God­in­ton Road as relief to traf­fic? “Come on coun­cil, sort it out!” Last month traf­fic ground to a halt fur­ther along Chart Road, close to the rail­way bridge near the round­about with the B2229 Brook­field Road, due to another leak, which South East Wa­ter was also re­spon­si­ble for.
