Couple hurt after robbers break in
A couple from Charing needed hospital treatment after being attacked by robbers who broke into their home.
Police are investigating after a man and a woman were threatened by men who entered their property in Pett Lane about 8.30pm on Monday.
The couple were assaulted before the suspects left with a quantity of jewellery and cash, including foreign currency.
The pair were both treated for head injuries at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
Police say they believe this crime may have been planned by the raiders some time ago, perhaps weeks or even months in advance.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the days or weeks leading up to the incident is asked to contact them.
Officers are also keen to speak to anyone who was in the area on the night of the attack who may have seen a vehicle being driven at speed in Charing High Street.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 01303 289353 or contact Kent CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
