An em­ployee who stole more than £1,000 from a Ten­ter­den care home has been or­dered to do 200 hours un­paid work.

Lynette Crisp, 45, of Leave­land Close, Ash­ford, pleaded guilty to theft when she ap­peared be­fore Can­ter­bury mag­is­trates.

The court heard she stole £1,240 from a care home in Ash­ford Road be­tween Septem­ber 4 and Novem­ber 4 last year.

Crisp was or­dered to carry out 200 hours un­paid work within the next 12 months and pay £1,240 in com­pen­sa­tion, £85 costs and a £60 vic­tim sur­charge.
