Play­ers’ panto trib­ute to mark Brownie cen­te­nary

Cin­derella, Prince Charm­ing and the two Ugly Sis­ters are mak­ing their way to Chal­lock to star in the Kingswood Play­ers’ an­nual pantomime.

Three per­for­mances of the panto will be held in Chal­lock Vil­lage Hall on Fri­day, Jan­uary 31, at 7.30pm and on Satur­day, Fe­bru­ary 1, at 2pm and 7.30pm.

The pro­duc­tion will star Amy Kempton as Cin­derella, Donna Ashby as Prince Charm­ing and Sam Slad­den as But­tons.

The am­a­teur drama group will in­vite Brown­ies to per­form in the Satur­day mati­nee show.

Di­rec­tor Tara Vaughan said: “We are ask­ing some lo­cal Brown­ies to come on stage and say some lines to cel­e­brate the Big Brownie Birth­day, as they are cel­e­brat­ing 100 years this year.”

All prof­its from the pro­duc­tion will go to the Kent, Sur­rey and Sus­sex Air Am­bu­lance Trust.
