Help is at hand for households concerned about winter fuel bills.

Energy Best Deal, which is run by the Citizens Advice Bureau and Ofgem, is funded by energy suppliers and provides help to reduce the energy bills of the poorest households across the country.

Sue Chan and Sandra Joe run the Energy Best Deal sessions in Ashford and Tenterden.

Sue said: “People are increasingly worried about how they will pay their energy bills. Some people face an unnecessary struggle because they are paying over the odds.

“Through Energy Best Deal we are helping people seek out the cheapest deal; get to grips with the different tariffs and payment methods and explain what they can do if they’re in debt with their fuel company.

“We’re also helping people use less energy and explaining how they can make their home more energy efficient.”
