Grasshop­pers un­der-11s were the big­gest scor­ers win­ning 10-2 at Bid­den­den in the lat­est round of matches in the Ash­ford & Dis­trict Youth League. Three other games in the same age-group beat the weather – Park Farm Rangers won 9-0 at South Ash­ford Roy­als, Eger­ton and Pluck­ley beat Brom­ley Green 5-0 while Smeeth and Brabourne Ea­gles went down 3-1 at home to Head­corn. Bid­den­den un­der-12s fared bet­ter win­ning 8-2 against Hawkinge Youth. Grasshop­pers Green un­der10s won 2-1 at Ash­ford United Youth but Yel­low lost by the same score at Wye Dragons.

Ash­ford United un­der10 Colts went out of the Mitre Prostar East Kent Youth League Alex Lak­ing Me­mo­rial Cup, beaten 1-0 in a penalty shoot-out by Hythe Stars and Stripes. An­thony Long­more got both for United as the tie ended in a 2-2 draw.

South Ash­ford are look­ing for play­ers in school years seven and eight to play in a newly-formed un­der-13 side. They will play friendlies and tour­na­ments for the rest of the sea­son and will be hop­ing to en­ter the East Kent Youth League in sea­son 2014/15.
