Jogger dies in hospital after road accident
firstname.lastname@example.org A man knocked down by a car in Ashford more than three weeks ago has died in hospital.
Pedestrian Paul Stinton was hit by a vehicle while out jogging in Simone Weil Avenue on Saturday, January 4.
The 45- year- old died in King’s College Hospital, in London, last Thursday night.
Earlier, a 48-year-old Ashford woman was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
She has been released on police bail until Monday, March 24 while officers make further inquiries.
Mr Stinton was flown to hospital after being hit by a Ford Kuga at about 1.45pm.
Emergency services had closed both carriageways to allow the air ambulance to land.
Hundreds of motorists were trapped on the Warren Retail Park after Mr Stinton was struck at the traffic lights outside the entrance to the park.
A blue screen was put up around the casualty while paramedics battled to save his life at the roadside.
