Party goers in Ashford have proved to be the most generous visitors to a nationwide chain of clubs, donating £2,000 to charity.

Customers of Liquid and Envy, whose Ashford premises is based at The Flourmills in East Hill, raised the cash for children’s charities.

The club’s owners, The Luminar Group, asked revellers to Give A Kid A Quid over the festive season to raise funds for the Echo Trust, which is their in-house charity fund.

And the club hit the number one fundraising spot out of 54 venues across the country.

Club manager Nick Jackson said: “Our Give A Kid A Quid campaign really touched the hearts of our customers, who dug deep and helped raised this impressive sum of money for the Echo Trust.

“We will confirm which charities will receive a donation, but money will be go to causes important to our customers.”
