Driver given three-year ban
Gary Hedges, 25, of Swaffer Way, Ashford has been given a suspended prison sentence after being found guilty of driving a Vauxhall Corsa while disqualified and with no insurance in Bad Munstereifel Road on December 1 last year. The same day he failed to provide a specimen of breath for analysis. Canterbury Magistrates sentenced him to 120 days in prison, suspended for 18 months, and disqualified him from driving for three years when he appeared on January 10. He must also carry out 150 hours of unpaid work within the next year, get treatment for his alcohol dependency, pay £85 costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
