Res­i­dents turn out in force to help spruce up es­tate

More than 50 sacks of rub­bish col­lected by vol­un­teers in a big clean-up at Ash­ford’s Rep­ton Park es­tate.

Help­ing the res­i­dents’ as­so­ci­a­tion were Ash­ford Bor­ough Coun­cil who pro­vided the vol­un­teers with sacks, gloves and gar­den­ing equip­ment; mem­bers of Ash­ford Vine­yard Church, Waitrose with food sus­te­nance and Rep­ton Manor School, which ac­com­mo­dated helpers for a lunch af­ter­wards.

Sally-Joe Den­man, as­so­ci­a­tion chair­man, said: “We’re proud of where we live and we wanted to show that pride in our en­vi­ron­ment. We were all so pleased to see so many res­i­dents turn out to help and for all the oth­ers who sup­ported us, also Cllr Peter Feacey for all his con­tin­u­ing help.”
