Diners help boost funds for charities
Funds for two charities were boosted by diners who danced the night away.
Mayor of Ashford, Cllr John Link, hosted a charity ball at the London Beach Hotel, Tenterden.
More than £3,600 was raised for his charities of the year, Pilgrims Hospice and Hi Kent, which works with the deaf and hard of hearing.
In addition to the dining and dancing by 97 guests, there was a raffle and auction for a framed Lewis Hamilton t-shirt and a bottle of Rémy Martin VSOP cognac.
A giant teddy bear, which Cllr Link is inviting people to name for £1 throughout his year, was also on display.
The money for the charities will be distributed next year.
