BARHAM CASHES IN WITH FINE ROUND AT HENLEY
Benn Barham shot a six-under-par 64 to take the top prize of £3,000 at the Henley Pro-Am. The former European Tour professional (pictured) from Tenterden said: “I had never played Henley before but the prize fund was an incentive, and I had a great team of local members to play with and give me some idea of the way to get round the course.” Barham did a lot more than just get a round the course. Two-under-par at the turn, he birdied the 10th and eagled the 14th to get to five-underpar. Pars followed at the next three holes before Barham claimed another birdie to finish one shot ahead of Daniel Seymour (Caversham Heath). The victory leaves Barham second in the PGA South Virgin Atlantic Order of Merit behind Silvermere’s Chris Gane.
