Fundraiser’s pedal power for the cause
A fundraiser from Ashford will be swapping his business suit for lycra tomorrow (Friday) as he embarks on an ambitious 100mile coastal cycling challenge for charity.
Together with 12 other branch and senior managers from Selco Builders Warehouse branches across London, Paul Asquith will cycle the Norfolk and Suffolk coastline to raise funds for the company’s nominated charity Macmillan Cancer Support.
Paul, who is branch manager at Selco’s Croydon store, said: “Some of us are more used to getting on bikes than others but regardless of our previous experience, this will be a personal challenge for us all.
“We are grateful for all of the support and donations we have received so far and hope to meet our target.”
Since 2012, Selco colleagues, employees and suppliers have amassed £100,000 for Macmillan and have this year pledged to raise an additional £50,000. To donate visit www.justgiving. com/selco-100-coastal-challenge
