A new pro­gramme of re­lax­ation, mind­ful­ness and med­i­ta­tion starts at Char­ing Surgery next month.

The 10-week course – begin­ning on Thurs­day, Septem­ber 11 – is the sec­ond of its kind and has been sched­uled due to the suc­cess of the first.

Neuro-linguistic prac­ti­tioner and life coach Yvonne Fer­nando, who runs the pro­gramme, said: “Re­lax­ation is fun­da­men­tal to good health and well­be­ing and one of the best an­ti­dotes to stress. Learn­ing how to re­lax can clear the mind, calm the emo­tions and re­sult in a health­ier body.

“The course is de­signed for pa­tients to take pos­i­tive ac­tion in sup­port of their own health and well­be­ing.”

The ses­sions will run from 10am to 11am ev­ery Thurs­day and par­tic­i­pants are asked to con­trib­ute a £5 do­na­tion per class which will go to­wards the Ca­nine Part­ners char­ity.
