Vietnamese visitor Bao Nguyen captured this picture of Sunday’s super moon.

Mr Nguyen is staying in Woodchurch Road, Tenterden, with Ian and Linda Mowat, and took the opportunity to frame the moon with the sign for St Michael’s. He used a Nokia Lumia 1520. Mr Nguyen is on his first visit to the UK with his wife and eight-year-old son.

Mr Mowat said: “I visited Vietnam three years and Bao was my guide. I told him he could stay with us if he ever came to the UK, and a few months ago he called saying he was coming over.

“On Sunday, we had taken the family for their first visit to a pub at The Crown in St Michael’s and I pointed out the moon as we left as Bao always has his phone with him.”

Mr Nguyen is a wildlife and bird guide in Vietnam and while in the UK is exhibiting at an international bird fair at Rutland Water in the Midlands.

The family leave Tenterden tomorrow (Friday).
