Great turnout

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Battling Hurricane Bertha -

Mr Brooker said: “There was still a great turnout on Sunday despite the bad weather. I was very happy to support and watch the runners – but I was pleased I wasn’t running!

“I’ve told them I’ll run the next one.

“Since I’ve been on TV I’ve been lucky to get involved with a few charities, but none in Ashford, which is why I’m really pleased to support Find A Voice. It is a small, local charity but it provides a great service.

“It was great to come home and see people I haven’t seen in a few years. I think my mum is happy that I’m getting involved because it means I’ll be around more. Although I’m only in London, I don’t get to come back that often.”

Mr Brooker, who is currently working on the latest season of The Last Leg, added: “I’ve had such a good year. The show is going really well and we’ve got some great guests coming up, including Daniel Radcliffe. I love doing the sketches, although I do look ridiculous at times for the sake of humour!”

The Last Leg is on Fridays at 10pm on Channel 4.
