Sporty day out at church relay
Visitors to a church’s summer festival moved through zones of activities as they tried sports, listened to music and played games.
Ashford Baptist Church’s Relay Community Festival, now in its third year, was designed to bring the community together and there was even free food on offer.
A sport zone featured welly wanging, a penalty shoot out and giant skipping rope and hoopla games while toddlers had their own zone with a ball pit and ride-on toys.
There were craft and chill out zones, live music, tug of war matches and a competition to name a World Cup football as well as face painting, stalls offering nail art and more.
Co-organiser of the event at Ashford’s North Park, Alison O’Donnell said: “All the zones were really successful and everyone had a good afternoon.
A lot of people said they intended to come along for a little while and ended up staying for the whole event.”
