Second ban for drink-driver
A man must carry out 160 hours of unpaid work after he was caught driving a Mercedes while banned, using a vehicle without third party insurance and drink-driving.
When Alex Remedios, 37, of Elm Close, Ashford, was stopped in Tenterden High Street on July 6 he gave a breath test of 51 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Magistrates disqualified Remedios, who had pleaded guilty, from driving for 40 months and ordered him to carry out 160 hours unpaid work. He was also fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
