A frozen fruit and vegetable company in Charing has received an award for health and safety for the second year in a row.

Ardo UK was presented with The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents’ (RoSPA) Gold Award for Occupational Health and Safety, given to companies that demonstrate excellent management systems, a rigorous approach to occupational health and below average – and reducing – accident rates.

Jim Everest, Ardo UK operations director, said: “To achieve a gold award two years running shows how everyone at Ardo UK really embraces a strong health and safety culture in their dayto-day activities.

“We are committed to our health and safety obligations and set ourselves the highest standards possible. As responsible employers we have challenged ourselves to reduce accidents in the workplace year on year through investment in training, safer working conditions and protective clothing.”
