Recruitment firm’s dou­ble ap­point­ment

Two se­nior man­agers have risen through the ranks at an Ash­ford recruitment com­pany.

HR GO, based in Park Street, has ap­pointed Rod­er­ick ‘Roddy’ Bar­row as chief f i nan­cial of­fi­cer, while Mark Ga­is­ford has ac­cepted the po­si­tion of op­er­a­tions direc­tor of one of the group’s sub­sidiary com­pa­nies, HR GO Recruitment.

Fa­ther-of-three Mr Bar­row, an ex­pe­ri­enced char­tered ac­coun­tant who pre­vi­ously worked for Ingeus, The Book Peo­ple and Tech­ni­color, said: “When I was with Ingeus, an in­ter­na­tional em­ploy­ment and train­ing busi­ness, turnover nearly dou­bled in three years. With so many ex­cit­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties in the recruitment in­dus­try, I am look­ing for­ward to help­ing HR GO grow in a sim­i­lar way.”

Mr Ga­is­ford, a keen run­ner, has been work­ing as a con­sul­tant for HR GO for the past year.

On his new role, he said: “I am de­lighted to be part of a fast­de­vel­op­ing busi­ness and help­ing to meet the chal­lenges of in­ter­nal change and adding new ser­vices to our port­fo­lio for clients and can­di­dates.”

HR GO, which has recruitment of­fices across the UK, spe­cialises in plac­ing peo­ple in tem­po­rary po­si­tions, but is now plan­ning to ex­pand into the per­ma­nent job mar­ket.
