What is the best thing about the town? It’s very con­ve­nient be­cause the trans­port links into and around Ash­ford are so good. It also has all of the best shops. What would you say to a visi­tor to en­cour­age them to come to Ash­ford? It’s got things for ev­ery taste - so you can always find some­thing you’re in­ter­ested in. The bowl­ing al­ley is very good, and so are the De­signer Out­let and Vic­to­ria Park. What are your favourite shops, bars and restau­rants in Ash­ford? Deben­hams is great (ob­vio­suly), and other high street shops like New Look, H&M and River Is­land are also good. I re­ally like Chiq­uito’s at the Eureka Leisure Park too, it’s got a great at­mos­phere. What is the best tourist at­trac­tion in the town? I would say the De­signer Out­let is the best, par­tic­u­larly if you love shop­ping. Where is your one favourite place in Ash­ford? Ei­ther the Eureka Leisure

Park or Vic­to­ria Park. What makes Ash­ford stand out from other towns? The hous­ing is very af­ford­able and the shops are very good. What has changed about Ash­ford most over the years? There has cer­tainly been an in­crease in the

num­ber of houses be­ing built. What needs im­prov­ing in the town? The rents in County Square - there are lots of empty units and many shops are re­lo­cat­ing out of town. Could you see your­self liv­ing in Ash­ford for the rest of your life? No, I would like to move some­time. Do you feel proud to live in Ash­ford? Not re­ally, there are too many neg­a­tive as­pects about it.
