Drink-driver’s 40-month ban
A man nearly twice the legal drink-drive limit when stopped in Tenterden has been ordered to do 160 hours unpaid work.
Alex Remedios, 37, of Elm Close, Ashford, admitted driving while disqualified, with no insurance and drink-driving in Tenterden High Street on July 6.
Canterbury magistrates heard that when stopped, he gave a breath test of 51 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
He was banned from driving for 40 months. He was also fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
