Drink-driver’s 40-month ban

A man nearly twice the le­gal drink-drive limit when stopped in Ten­ter­den has been or­dered to do 160 hours un­paid work.

Alex Reme­dios, 37, of Elm Close, Ash­ford, ad­mit­ted driv­ing while dis­qual­i­fied, with no in­sur­ance and drink-driv­ing in Ten­ter­den High Street on July 6.

Can­ter­bury mag­is­trates heard that when stopped, he gave a breath test of 51 mi­cro­grammes of al­co­hol in 100 millil­itres of breath. The le­gal limit is 35 mi­cro­grammes.

He was banned from driv­ing for 40 months. He was also fined £200 and or­dered to pay £85 costs and a £60 vic­tim sur­charge.
