Improving Cresswell back on the podium
Gideon Cresswell claimed his second podium in successive meetings in the Mini-Challenge Cooper Class Championship, at Silverstone on Sunday.
The Great Chart driver repeated his third-place last time out at Castle Combe in race two, achieving two fifth places in race one and three at Silverstone.
He said: “I was pleased and could have won it after being involved in a five-car battle and finishing only a second behind the winner.
“The car felt a lot better than in previous races but I still feel there is a lot more to come.”
Cresswell is hoping to attract more sponsors to help finance his racing, having returned to the sport last year after a decade away.
He said: “I fund myself at the moment and my competitive instinct gets me through. I know I have just got to get out and do it.”
