Wild photo comp but be snappy
If you reckon you’re a dab hand at taking pictures of wildlife then why not enter a competition – but be quick.
The deadline for Kent Wildlife Trust’s Wildlife Photography Competition 2014 is tomorrow (Friday) but entries are still being accepted.
The competition invites talented amateur photographers to submit images that capture the splendour of Kent.
The prize competition is free to enter with four categories: Best Flora; Best Fauna; Best Landscape, Coastline and People; and Best Junior (17 years and under).
An expert panel of judges, chaired by Phil Hurst of the Natural History Museum Photographic Unit, are looking for originality and ingenuity.
For an entry form go to www. kentwildlifetrust.org.uk or call Kent Wildlife Trust on 01622 662012.
The competition is sponsored by The BarnYard restaurant and farm shop at Upchurch who will be hosting the awards evening in the autumn.
In addition to the prizes, winners get a certificate, and have their photos published in the Trust’s magazine, Wild Kent, on the Trust’s website and at its visitor centres.
